Two Ways to Belong — One Way to Fully Engage

The 10th Mountain Alpine Club offers two membership levels designed to meet new members where they are.

General Member

Support the Mission. Stay Connected.

General Membership is FREE and ideal for those who believe in the Club’s purpose and want to help preserve and advance alpine skills, mountain culture, and the legacy of the 10th Mountain Division. You can always upgrade to Active Membership at a later date!

General Members receive:

  • Recognition as a member of the 10th Mountain Alpine Club

  • Eligibility to participate in Club-sponsored outdoor mentorship events

  • Connection to a national community of mountain athletes and supporters

  • Updates on Club news, initiatives, events, and accomplishments

  • Pride in supporting a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing alpinism

General Membership is about joining the community and learning the ropes. Great for those that are new to outdoor activities.

Active Member

Train. Climb. Lead. Represent.

Active Members are committed to developing their own skills, contributing to the Club community, and carrying forward the mountain legacy of the 10th Mountain Division through participation, mentorship, leadership, and service. $35 yearly dues directly support the non-profit mission of the Club.

Active Members may receive opportunities to:

  • Participate in Club-sponsored training, climbing, skiing, mountaineering, and outdoor recreation activities

  • Receive priority consideration for select limited-capacity training opportunities, events, and trips

  • Develop skills through mentorship, education, and recognized training or certification pathways

  • Volunteer, lead, instruct, mentor, or support Club activities as experience and qualifications allow

  • Vote on Club matters and help shape the future of the organization

  • Represent the 10th Mountain Alpine Club at courses, events, partnerships, and throughout the broader mountain community

Active Membership is an opportunity to participate, contribute, develop, and lead while helping advance alpinism in the spirit of the 10th Mountain Division.
